Fall

 Fall is upon us and the time that many people have been waiting for. Personally I’m a big fan of fall, just like many others I like the temperature, the spices, and the celebrations that come with it. First off Fall is the perfect in between fresh and slightly cool weather. You can wear shorts with a sweater, or a tank top with sweatpants, whatever it is, you're comfortable, and flexible with your wardrobe. Second, it is known as “Pumpkin Spice Season”, where so many treats are pumpkin flavored, or if you truly know, seasoned with nutmeg. And lastly the holiday of horrors that thrill seekers love, Halloween. The decorating of homes, and the planning of costumes really excite people, and bring a sense of childhood back. Or moving on later in the season for foodie lovers, is Thanksgiving. The perfect time to feast with family, stuffing yourself with your favorite plates, and watching the parade. I feel Fall gives this sense of excitement and time to spend with others.

Personally, Fall has made so many enjoyable memories, that I look forward to making more every year. I love spending time with family or friends staying up to watch a scary movie. I am thrilled about going to the pumpkin patch, picking out my perfect pumpkin and trying out all the activities they have for families. I intricately plan for my costum, for the hope of surprising others. I have yet but hope to partake in experiencing a haunted house, and the thrill of running away. Sharing my Hispanic traditions, I love when my abuelita prepares abuelita chocolate (Mexican hot chocolate) to pair with savory conchas or pan muerto. I’m eager to celebrate Día De Los Muertos to make that connection with past loved ones. Not to mention mid September to October is Hispanic Heritage month. I start it with Mexican Independence Day, the energy of people parading the streets, dancing, waving the flags, and singing. Then late at night watching “El Grito” being aired from Mexico City. Just to spend the next days partying and going to rodeos celebrating the traditions of my people. All in all Fall is just an enjoyable time for me and I believe many others.
