What I Learned about Scholarly Research

Scholarly Research is professional research and information written by experts and scholars that contribute their findings, insights, theories, research, news, and summaries on a particular field that they studied in. This research has been peer reviewed by those that either have a PHD, work in a college or University, and or has extensive experience in the field. When conducting scholarly research reliable resources to use is Google Scholar, Academic Search Complete, and Cardinal Search (when refined to peer review journals). When searching a topic on Academic Search Complete instead of asking a complete question you will use the multiple space bars provided and insert the main key words or concepts of your topic. With this the search will look up topics containing these key concepts. The more key words the more refined the search will be.

From my personal experience of using scholarly resource to do my research at times felt it was some what  difficult to either use and or understand. I had to first learn to refine my question and or topic to its key words and to search from there. Along with this I found it some what couples understanding some of the research since it had complex vocabulary and lots of para the sis with names or numbers (I’m guessing it was cited who reported what). Though with this I am learning how to scholarly research topics for school and use credible sources.
